Corona has hit us as bad as many others. Why? 1. Because the food prices in Uganda skyrocketed since the lockdown AND 2. Because both of our planned donotian runs in May had to be cancelled. We finance us only through donations. And since we were planning with them, this is giving us quite a tough time and we have to save wherever we can.
Linus and Livia are both in their final year of school, in the Eschbach-Gymnasium Stuttgart-Freiberg. Today there should have a big donation run at exactly this school for our organisation. (The last time the school donated 30.000€ to us!!!). Sadly, it had to be cancelled and is postponed to next year. But Linus and Livia wanted to help us anyway, especially right now! In the middle of preparing for their final exams they decided to go on a „donation hike“. The challenge: Hike the Stuttgart Rössle Path (54 km long one time around Stuttgart) within ONE DAY. Their friends and family members agreed, that they would donate, if they succeed to make it. It took them 15,5 exhausting hours with barely any break, BUT THEY MADE IT! The both of them collected 700€ and donated them to us. Which helps us a great lot to get through another month. Small effort, great outcome! Thank you, to the both of you for doing this completely on your own account to help the ones that need it most and props for hiking 54 km in 15,5h!!! THANK YOU!
